India was ruled by foreigners for most of the time till it attained independence in 1947. No other country in the history was ruled by foreigners for such prolonged periods. It happened mainly due to lack of unity and soft nature of Indians.
1. The first Muslim (Arab) king to invade on India: In 712 AD, Muhammad Bin Khasim invaded on Sind king, namely Dhahir, defeated him in that war and occupied the kingdom.
2. The sultan of Delhi (India) who died while playing “Chougan or Polo”: Kutubuddin Aibak.
3. The first woman who ruled Delhi (kingdom) in India: Rajia Sultana (daughter of “Iltutmish”).
4. Two peculiar traditions:
A. Sizzdough (prostration before the sultan)
B. vibose ( kissing the feet of the sultan or king),
The above two traditions were introduced by “Balban” (sultan of Delhi). At the same time he kept a bell called “Bell for Justice”, for common man who seek for justice from the sultan (king), at any time.
5. Ghazani Mohammad: He invaded on India 17 times. First time in the year 1001 AD and the Seventeenth time in 1025 AD, and during this time.
