Malayala Manorama is the largest circulated Malayalam newspaper and was established by Varghese Mappila. Mathew was the chief editor of daily from 1973 to till death. The Week and Vanitha are some other famous publications from Malayala Manorama group.  7. Who founded Wikileaks website: Julian Assange  8. On this day in history: August 2 1990: 1 lakh Iraq soldiers invaded Kuwait. 1922: Telephone inventor, Alexander Graham Bell died.  9. Test cricket ranking: Kumara Sangakkara grabbed world number one test batsman status from Virender Sehwag. Sachin Tendulkar is in fourth place. Dale Steyn is the world number one bowler in test cricket.  10. Richardson Owen Williams: He got Noble prize in 1928 for his work on Thermionic Emission. Thomas Alwa Edison first observed the emission of electrons from hot surface.
