 5 Interesting Historical facts: 1. Alexander the Great: He was the ruler of “Macedonian kingdom”. He invaded India in the year 327 B.C. At that time, the king “Ambi”, the ruler of “Takshasila kingdom”, surrendered to Alexander, without offering any resistance. It indicates his weak mentality and he was king only for the namesake. King Purushottam: He was ruling the area between the rivers, namely – Jhelum and Cheenab and who fought bravely against Alexander and lost the battle. Even though, he was defeated in the battle, Alexander praised the king, for his braveness shown in the battle and offered the title “Porus” to that brave king of Takshasila. Death of Alexander: He died in a place, called “Babylonia”, in the year 324 B.C. It was said that he died of “serious illness (probably due to Malaria fever)”. 2. Gautama Buddha and Buddhism: He was born in the year 6th B.C. and belonged to “Sakya” community. The capital of the Sakya kings was “Kapilavasthu”. He meditated for forty days under the peepul (papal) tree, at a place called “Gaya” and attained enlightenment and established “Buddhism”. He first gave his religious speech at a place called “Saranath”. The sacred religious books of Buddhism are called “Thripithakhas”, which contain the teachings of Buddha. Buddha’s main teaching is on observation and practice of “non-violence”. “Ajathasatru”, the Magadha king became the disciple of Buddha. It was known in the history that this Magadha king was responsible for the death of his father “Bimbisara”, who was kept in prison and not provided with food and so, the poor father-king died of starvation. 3.       1. Once in 60 years: A flower plant (in Mauritius country), by name, “Giant Victorian Regis Water Lilies, Tale pat palm” gives rise to flowers, once in 60 years and dies.           2. Alfred Hitchcock and Psycho: The famous Hollywood movie maker produced a movie, namely “Psycho”, in which there was a death scene in bathroom which created terror among audience. After seeing that horrible incident, many people afraid of even taking shower baths. In that scene “Janet Lee” acted as the “killed woman”, who later on wrote in her autobiography, that she never took shower bath in her life, after acting in that film. Hitchcock took 7 days time to produce that “45 second scene” in the bathroom. The blood that appeared running into the pipe was actually “the chocolate sauce” (not the real blood).        3. It is impossible to sneeze without closing the eyes.  4. The strongest muscle in our whole body is Tongue muscle. There is some controversy regarding this.    5. A peculiar incident regarding self-respect: Rajasthan people especially tribals are known to do anything to protect their self respect and their beliefs. These communities are known for their integrity and go to any extent to protect their community, forest and animals. Ex. Salman Khan case.Actually, this incident took place around 1160 AD in a state, called Rajasthan, in India. The actual incidence was occurred as follows.
